Good morning dear judges, I’m No. ____. It's my great honor to be here to share my teaching ideas. Can I start?

In order to explain what to teach, how to teach and why do so. I put my presentation into several parts: *** ysis of teaching material and students, teaching aims, teaching methods teaching procedures and so on.

First of all, I will focus on the *** ysis of teaching material. This lesson is from the section A, Unit 1 of PEP English book for junior high school, grade 8. And the main topic of this lesson is where did you go on vacation. It is the last part of this unit, so it can lay a good foundation for the further study. After learning this lesson, students are able to use simple past tense. Meanwhile, their listening and speaking ability would be developed.

The second part is *** ysis of students. Students in junior high school are generally interested in English. They have strong curiosity and thirst for knowledge and the topic is relevant to their experience, so students will be interested in this topic.

According to the new curriculum standard, the teaching materials and the students’ present situation. I set the aims as follows:the first one is knowledge aims, students are able to recognize the words such as future, plan, become and are able to master simple future tense. This is also the key point of this lesson. Next is ability aims, Students can get the main idea about what they are talking about after listening, and can get some useful information from the conversation. And students can improve their listening and speaking abilities through making a role play. Next is emotional aim. Students can foster the interest and desire of learning English, and can take part in speaking activities actively. And this is also the difficult point of this lesson.

After those *** ysis, as for the students are the subject in my class, I will talk about the teaching and study methods. I’ll mainly use “Task-based teaching method” “Communicative language teaching method” .

As we all know teaching aids are very important for my class, so I will mainly use multi-media, tape recorder.

Now, Let’s come to the most important parts of my teaching plan--- teaching procedures. It is made up of 5 steps. They are warming up, pre-listening, while-listening, post-listening, summary and homework. Now let’s go to the first step warming up. After greeting the students, I will show some short pieces of display of some famous places and ask them to talk about their own travel experience. Then lead the new lesson. In the pre-listening step, I will ask then to look the picture on the book and to predict what the listening material will talk about. The third step is while-listening. Firstly, I would ask students to listen to the tape and tell me what does this listening material talking about. At the second time of listening, I will ask students to answer some questions about the detail information and complete the shower schedule. The next step is Post-listening. I would ask them to read the dialogue first. And work in pairs to perform this dialogue. Then I will ask some groups to share their role-play with us. Then make their own conversations. At last I will ask some students to show themselves at the front. Role play is a very interesting activity. Students could take part in it very actively. Through this section, students could improve their speaking ability, they could also be brave enough to express themselves in public. Before the ending, I will ask students to act as an assistant teacher to conclude what we have learned in this class. And then make a summary together.

Finally, I would set a piece of homework for: Do a survey on the favorite place their family like and why. Describe it to the class. The last part is the *** ysis of the blackboard design. This is the title of the the new lesson. The left part is the key words and sentence pattern. The right part is the main idea and the questions I will ask during the lesson.

一、说课内容不能太简单。参加说课的老师很多,但是印象最深的却是一个女孩子。她穿一件浅色的改装旗袍,眉目清爽,声音甜美;更主要的是我极看好的,就是我喜欢的那种漂亮老师,可爱型老师,学生也给了极高分数,但可惜的是别的评委给的分数却很低。后来了解到其他评委认为说课没有内容。我想也有道理,既然是应聘,就要认真对待,把该准备的准备充分。十五分钟的说课,这个女孩子只用五六分钟就结束了,虽然说一出口就知道水平高低,但毕竟是考试。十五分钟的时间可以说出很多东西,教学思想,对知识的把握都能见出分晓。虽然不需要用满十五分钟,但是不要低于十分钟!时间太少,评委会认为你不认真对待,或者认为你没东西可说,把分打低!二、不要把自己的说课内容划分的条块很多。说教材,说学情,说教法,说学法,说教学过程,说板书设计,说课后反思等等,甚至有的说出八九项。说课可以在这些方面说,并不是必须把这些方面都说到,选取四个方面说足矣!虽然前边说不能太简单,但是太繁琐,也让评委昏昏欲睡!比如先给大家介绍我的说课分为四个部分:说教材,说教法,说学法,说教学过程。或者只说两个部分:说教材,说教学过程。教法、学法并不是不说,而是在教学过程里就体现出来了。不好的做法是把教学过程说的很简单,而其它部分纷纷杂杂都是一些套话。整个说课过程的用时很多,但是并没能给评委留下深刻印象。分数自然高不了!三、让板书使你的说课调理更清楚。多数应聘者都是板书自己的教学内容,更佳的效果其实是板书自己的说课内容。因为板书的作用就是辅助你的讲话,使更加清晰。所以没必要写你的讲课程序,而是为了使评委听得更清晰,写出你的说课程序,尤其是关键词,通过板书加深评委的印象,使他们更具体理解你的思想!这次有一位应聘者是这样做,大家都反映很好!大约是前年,我也作为评委参于过这样的应聘工作。相比较而言,这次无论从师教科的组织还是从说课的应聘者水平,都有了大提高。从组织上来说更加科学了,增加了学生评委,和外地评委。六位本地评委和三位石家庄来的大学教授作为专家评委坐在最前边,后边两排学生也是评委,学生占二十分,专家占八十分。有学生的参与,体现了教学设计要重视学生,要做学生喜欢的老师,从着装到声音到举止到教学设计,说课不只说给专家老师,更是面对学生!并且增加了师大教授,而且本地评委不仅是一线优秀,而且有校长书记,评委的水平大大提高,从而保证把更优秀的选拔到教师队伍!还有一点提高,呵呵!还提高了评委待遇!当然这次有一点不足,参加考试的学生除了说课还有当场回答问题,在抽取的问题中,难易程度有悬殊!这不利于公平竞争!

Step Ⅰ Revision

Check homework. Collect pictures from students on the teacher's desk. Hold up one at a time and ask students to describe it using the target language introduced in the preceding classes. For example:

Say the words one by one and have students repeat several times until they can pronounce them fluently and accurately. Read the title of the newspaper article strange events in Bell Tower neighborhood to the class. And then point to the picture and ask students. How is the person feeling? Help students to answer. He is confused and upset .

Call students' attention to the article.

Read it to the class. Say, Now please read the article individually and underline what people think could be causing the strange things that are happening in Bell Tower. Point out the sample answer.

Get students to complete the task individually. As they work, walk around the classroom answering any questions they may have and offering help as needed.

Say, You are to write another paragraph about Bell Town using these notes. You may use the article in Activity 3a as a model. Get a few students to read their works to the class.

Her mother thinks it might be cats. But she doesn't think so. My neighbor hood used to be quiet. But now everyone is worried. I don't know what to do.

Step Ⅳ 3c

This activity provides writing practice using the target language.

Read the title No more mystery in Bell Tower neighborhood to the class and explain the meaning of the word mystery.

Invite a student to read the opening sentences to the class. Divide the class into groups of four to discuss what should be included in the article.

Two or three minutes later, stop the activity. Say, Now please finish the article about the strange events in Bell Tower. Use the ideas you discussed along with original ideas of your own to complete the article.

Get students to complete the task on their own in the exercise books. As they are writing, move around the classroom offering help as needed. Ask some students to read their articles to the class.

Collect students' works and write a comment on each paper before returning them.

Step Ⅴ Part 4

This activity provides reading, writing, listening and speaking practice using the target language.

Read the instructions to the class. Point to the picture. Ask students to tell what is happening in it. Invite a pair of students to read the sample conversation in the box to the class.

SA: In my dream, I was swimming in an ocean of paper.

SB: Maybe it means you're afraid of too much homework.

Say, Once I had a dream. In my dream, I was eating a state dinner. What might the dream mean? Students may answer. Maybe it means you are too hungry.

Say. Think of a dream you had recently and tell your clas *** ates about it. Your clas *** ates guess what the dream might mean. Please work with a partner. Start practice by reading the sample conversation. As the pairs work together, walk around the room offering help with pronunciation and language. Ask different pairs to tell the class about their dream and what they may mean.

Step Ⅵ Summary

Say, In this class, we've mainly done much reading and writing practice using the target language. We've learned some vocabulary words as well.

说课教案

(一) 教学内容

1. 本课是Unit 2 heroes Lesson 1 Modern Heroes 的之一课时。本单元分别介绍了National hero, History makers,Sports stars 和 Superhero。这几篇文章的主题都是hero,但涉及的领域不同,它们融会贯通,承上启下,融为一体。

2. 本课是介绍National Hero,是学生比较熟悉和感兴趣的话题,前部分需要介绍杨利伟和神州五号,让学生掌握有关词汇;后一部分是介绍杨利伟乘坐神州五号宇宙飞船遨游太空的情况。

3. 本课文出现了较多的定语从句,还有生词较多(有些单词表没有而初中又没有学过),在这样的困难前提下,我引导学生通过 culture and background knowledge,结合课本内容丰富自己的知识面,拓宽学生对航天知识的了解,让学生了解航天英雄的成功之路,激发他们的民族自豪感。

(二) 学生分析

1. 组成情况

职业高中高一学生年龄都在14-16岁之间,大多数学生由于初中的知识基础打得不扎实,而且缺乏主动学习的能动性,自学能力差,对学习没有持有探究性和方向性,也没有养成良好英语学习习惯,所以学习成绩不太理想。

2. 学生的知识与技能水平

职业高中招生的学生,基础知识比较薄弱,甚至连音标都不会读,词汇的掌握范围狭窄,影响了阅读,听力和作文。学生的表达能力还是停留在比较低级的水平,面对每幅图片或某个主题只能说出一两句话,而且在阅读上,未能掌握泛读和精读的技巧和 *** ,课后的预习和复习能力较差,缺乏总结归纳的能力。

3. 学生已掌握的学习策略

尽管学生的知识和技能水平一般,但经过了一定时间的训练后,他们还是掌握了pair work, group work, using the culture and background knowledge的阅读技巧。

(三) 教学目标

1. 通过快速阅读文章,学生能够对每段文章进行归纳总结,准确地把段落主题与所给的headings联系起来。

2. 通过仔细阅读,学生能够回答关于文章的细节问题。

3. 通过进一步阅读,学生能够学生能用英语对采访自己心目中的民族英雄。并尝试复述课文。

第二步 介绍文章人物

T: Open your books, and turn to page 100 and 101. Let’s read two passages about Shenzhou V and Yang Liwei.

Shenzhou V is China’s first manned spaceship. It lifted off at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, October 15th, 2003 in Jiuquan, Gansu Province. It was carrying Yang Liwei. It was launched very successfully and landed in Inner Mongolia safely.

Yang Liwei is China’s first astronaut. He was a pilot in the army. He was chosen from 1,500 other army pilots and started training for his space flight in 1998. During the 21-hour space flight, he circled the earth 14 times. When the spaceship was doing its seventh circle, Yang Liwei showed the flags of China and the United Nations, expressing the wishes of the Chinese people to explore and use space peacefully.

第五步 语言运用

为提高学生对生活中的热点问题发表自己观点的能力,让学生运用自己学过的语言知识,对自己心目中的民族英雄进行模拟采访。把全班同学分成若干个小组,每个小组有一名同学扮演“杨利伟”,其他同学为全国各地新闻媒体记者,他们自由设计问题,对“杨利伟”进行采访。

Then ask: What festivals happen during your favourite seasons? Show more pictures about different festivals on the screen to help them to answer.

Students can work together to answer this question. Eg,

T:What is your favorite season? What festivals happen during your favorite season? ( have a discussion)

(S1: I liker summer. There are Children’s Day, Dragon-boat Festival and Mother’s Day.

S2: My favorite season is winter. They are Spring Festival and Lantern Festival and Christmas Day.

S3: ……

T:Well done. Thank you.

Step3.While-reading

Activity1.Fast-reading

Get students to read the text quickly, match the pictures with the festivals.

Activity2. Guessing.

Show some describing sentences on the screen to let students read and guess the names of the three festivals .

Activity3. Careful-reading

This time let students read the text carefully and get more detailed information to fill in the table of exercise3 on page36.

Ask some students to report their answers to the class.

Step4. Practice

Play the tape for the students to listen and ask them to fill in the blanks according the text.
